ANOTHER AWESOME WALK!!

Just returned from participating in the Walk to Emmaus at Garden City. It's always amazing to see what God does during those 72 hours together. Actually, it's miraculous.

It was humbling once again to be on the team. I was blessed to work with some unbelievable guys led by Steve Mayo (Lay director) and Tod Anthony (spiritual director). And then to observe God's work in the guys from the first day to the last was great - especially watching the guys from Leoti.

Thanks for praying for us all. Now our attention turns towards the women who will be attending this Thursday - Michelle Sheppard, Teresa Clark, Kendra Perry, Marilyn Wilbur, and Cindy Crays. Please keep them in your prayers. They are about to meet God in a new and exciting way.

How about some thoughts from some of you who attended who are reading this here blog? Love to hear from you.

You locals - ask Kevin, Jason, Craig, Gary, or Matt about their experience. See what they have to say.

I went and helped behind the scenes on the mens walk and you're right it is VERY humbling and awsome to see what all goes on behind the scenes (so to speak). It takes alot of help to take care of that many people for 72 hours. I still believe that when you set that much time apart for and with GOD, you ARE going to have a greater understanding of who GOD is and what his intentions are for you. Like Shad says all the time, "Everyone who calls themselves christians should go on the Walk to Emmaus". Any takers. There will be another walk in Garden City next fall, start planning now. M

This was my third time being a part of the music team for the men's Walk. Each time I go and help, I am reminded how wonderful and marvelous God really is. God has a way of revealing Himself to each person exactly when and where they need it during the Walk.

If you have been thinking about going, keep praying about it. God will nudge you to make the commitment at just the right time.

HOW ABOUT THOSE INDIANS!

Wow! I hear, and am sure, the walk is amazing, but I'm sure it's not gonna get those that already call themselves Christians any closer to the gates of heaven! That sounds like were putting new criteria on being a Christian!

I don't think it has anything to do with "getting closer to the gates of heaven", it DOES have everything to do with having a closer and more personal walk with Jesus and everyone needs that! M

The interesting and God inspired aspects of Emmaus are multi-fold. What I believe to be most critical is the genuine LOVE expressed by everyone involved. The workers "behind the scenes" to the TEAM "on the floor". To a person they express a Christ-like reflection by what they DO, not by what they say. That's the difference between someone who "already calls themself a Christian" and someone who is currently acting like a Christian with a yearning, a wooooooing, to grow closer to God, just because we WANT to, not because we're suppose to.
