WEDNESDAY WONDERINGS

JUST wondering:

What will the KU fans think of Bill if he bolts for OSU?? Will they treat him the same way they treated Roy??

If it's so warm outside, why is it so cold?

If a person is searching to be renewed, do they first have to be newed?

If Scot McKnight ever sleeps? (See www.jesuscreed.org)

If Todd will ever write a new blog? (www.toddjust.blogspot.com)

If Joshua Mehl should meditate on the word "sugarless"?

If global warming is the cause of the high gas prices?

If it's time to go elk hunting yet?

What the consequences would be if I did go elk hunting now?

If our "Wish I Had Talent Night" will be as big a hit as American idol?

If you realize that Kyle will be 18 on Friday? - pray for us

Whether I should preach a series on "I believe, help my unbelief"?

I wonder....................................................................................................

You wouldn't think that elk hunters anoymous would be necessary after just one hunt.

Actually, from a sane and level headed person's point of view, I would advise holding off in reference to the aforementioned elk hunt.

You see, there is case law already in place determining penalties and fines for such action. Now these particular individuals in the said case were a "few members short of a congregation."

Actually, these perpetrators were shooting at an elk out of season, from their vehicle, and without a hunting license.

The fines break down like this: “. . . shooting from a roadway (a $210 fine), taking elk from a vehicle (a $410 fine), taking elk during closed season (a $410 fine), taking elk without a license (a $780 fine) and transfer of license (a $410 fine).

Consequently, the violators also lost their hunting privileges for the time span of one to five years.

So, you be the judge of your ability, or inability, to control your urges to "hunt down" the great Wapiti. See if your conscience and your clerical credence can contain your testosteronal, neurotic whims for another few months.

Then, and only then, we (the great white hunters from the plains) shall, again, venture out to those Flat Tops and pursue the brown and tan Cervus canadensis, the large animal of the artiodactyle ungulate order.

Remember, it's all about the story.
